A shift: From Motiff editor to AI plugin

Dear Motiff user,

After some careful consideration, we’ve decided to sunset our UI editor. This wasn’t an easy decision.

We're developing a plugin powered by Motiff AI, while focusing more of our team’s energy on using AI to reinvent the field of UI design.

What this means for you?

You can export your Motiff designs in Figma file format and then import them into Figma. So you can continue working without interruption. View the detailed guide.

The UI editor will be discontinued on August 22, 2025 at 00:00 (UTC-7). We recommend completing your file migration before this date. After August 22, your files will be accessible for one year for export purposes only. Due to the shutdown of the editor, you will no longer be able to open and edit these files.

For paid users, we will refund any portion of the service we were unable to deliver. All charges incurred by paid users for using Motiff after June 30, 2025, will be fully refunded. You can continue using Motiff for free until August 22, 2025 at 00:00 (UTC-7). All refunds will be processed by August 14, 2025. I like Motiff AI — what’s next?

We're currently building an AI plugin, bringing most of the capabilities you have used in Motiff AI 2.0. We plan to submit this AI plugin to Figma for approval to be made available to the Figma Community.

We will keep you apprised of the developments as we aim for a Fall release. At that time, we'll offer exclusive trial access for existing Motiff users like yourself, as a thank-you for your early support. If you'd like to be among the first to try it, you can join the waiting list on our homepage.

After seeing lots of positive feedbacks on Motiff AI 2.0 over the past few months, we’re more confident than ever that AI will transform how products are conceived, designed, and brought to life. Your support, feedback, and early belief in what we were building have meant everything to us.
